7 ἸδοὺLook! ἔρχεταιHe is coming μετὰwith τῶνthe νεφελῶν,clouds, καὶand ὄψεταιwill see αὐτὸνhim πᾶςevery ὀφθαλμὸςeye καὶand οἵτινεςwhichever (ones) αὐτὸνhim ἐξεκέντησαν,stabbed out, καὶand κόψονταιthey will strike themselves ἐπ’upon αὐτὸνhim πᾶσαιall αἱthe φυλαὶtribes τῆςof the γῆς.earth. ναί,Yes, ἀμήν.amen.

8 ᾿ΕγώI εἰμιam τὸthe ἌλφαAlpha καὶand τὸthe ῏Ω,Omega, λέγειis saying Κύριος,Lord, ὁthe θεός,God, ὁThe (one) ὢνbeing καὶand ὁthe (one) ἦνwas καὶand ὁthe (one) ἐρχόμενος,coming, ὁthe παντοκράτωρ.Almighty.

12 ΚαὶAnd ἐπέστρεψαI turned upon βλέπεινto be looking at τὴνthe φωνὴνvoice ἥτιςwhich ἐλάλειwas speaking μετ’with ἐμοῦ·me; καὶand ἐπιστρέψαςhaving turned upon εἶδονI saw ἑπτὰseven λυχνίαςlampstands χρυσᾶς,golden, 13 καὶand ἐνin μέσῳmidst τῶνof the λυχνιῶνlampstands ὅμοιον(one) like υἱὸνson ἀνθρώπου,of man, ἐνδεδυμένονhaving been clothed ποδήρη[garment] reaching the foot καὶand περιεζωσμένονhaving been girded about πρὸςtoward τοῖςthe μαστοῖςbreasts ζώνηνgirdle χρυσᾶν·golden; 14 ἡthe δὲbut κεφαλὴhead αὐτοῦof him καὶand αἱthe τρίχεςhairs λευκαὶwhite ὡςas ἔριονwool λευκόν,white, ὡςas χιών,snow, καὶand οἱthe ὀφθαλμοὶeyes αὐτοῦof him ὡςas φλὸξflame πυρός,of fire, 15 καὶand οἱthe πόδεςfeet αὐτοῦof him ὅμοιοιlike χαλκολιβάνῳ,to fine copper, ὡςas ἐνin καμίνῳfurnace πεπυρωμένης,of (one) having been fired, καὶand ἡthe φωνὴvoice αὐτοῦof him ὡςas φωνὴvoice ὑδάτωνof waters πολλῶν,many, 16 καὶand ἔχων[he] having ἐνin τῇthe δεξιᾷright χειρὶhand αὐτοῦof him ἀστέραςstars ἑπτά,seven, καὶand ἐκout of τοῦthe στόματοςmouth αὐτοῦof him ῥομφαίαlong sword δίστομοςtwo-mouthed ὀξεῖαsharp ἐκπορευομένη,going out, καὶand ἡthe ὄψιςcountenance αὐτοῦof him ὡςas ὁthe ἥλιοςsun φαίνειis shining ἐνin τῇthe δυνάμειpower αὐτοῦ.of it. 17 ΚαὶAnd ὅτεwhen εἶδονI saw αὐτόν,him, ἔπεσαI fell πρὸςtoward τοὺςthe πόδαςfeet αὐτοῦof him ὡςas νεκρός·dead (one);

καὶand ἔθηκενhe put τὴνthe δεξιὰνright [hand] αὐτοῦof him ἐπ’upon ἐμὲme λέγωνsaying ΜὴNot φοβοῦ·be fearing; ἐγώI εἰμιam ὁthe πρῶτοςFirst καὶand ὁthe ἔσχατος,Last, 18 καὶand ὁthe (one) ζῶν,—living,— καὶand ἐγενόμηνI became νεκρὸςdead (one) καὶand ἰδοὺlook! ζῶνliving εἰμὶI am εἰςinto τοὺςthe αἰῶναςages τῶνof the αἰώνων,—ages,— καὶand ἔχωI am having τὰςthe κλεῖςkeys τοῦof the θανάτουdeath καὶand τοῦof the ᾅδου.Hades. 19 γράψονWrite οὖνtherefore ἃwhat (things) εἶδεςyou saw καὶand ἃwhat (things) εἰσὶνare καὶand ἃwhat (things) μέλλειis about γίνεσθαιto be occurring μετὰafter ταῦτα.these (things). 20 τὸThe μυστήριονmystery τῶνof the ἑπτὰseven ἀστέρωνstars οὓςwhich εἶδεςyou saw ἐπὶupon τῆςthe δεξιᾶςright [hand] μου,of me, καὶand τὰςthe ἑπτὰseven λυχνίαςlampstands τὰςthe χρυσᾶς·golden; οἱthe ἑπτὰseven ἀστέρεςstars ἄγγελοιangels τῶνof the ἑπτὰseven ἐκκλησιῶνecclesias εἰσίν,are, καὶand αἱthe λυχνίαιlampstands αἱthe ἑπτὰseven ἑπτὰseven ἐκκλησίαιecclesias εἰσίν.are
