1 ΠολυμερῶςIn many parts καὶand πολυτρόπωςin many manners πάλαιof old ὁthe θεὸςGod λαλήσαςhaving spoken τοῖςto the πατράσινfathers ἐνin τοῖςthe προφήταιςprophets 2 ἐπ’upon ἐσχάτουlast [part] τῶνof the ἡμερῶνdays τούτωνthese ἐλάλησενhe spoke ἡμῖνto us ἐνin υἱῷ,Son, ὃνwhom ἔθηκενhe put κληρονόμονheir πάντων,of all (things), δι’through οὗwhom καὶalso ἐποίησενhe made τοὺςthe αἰῶνας·ages; 3 ὃςwho ὢνbeing ἀπαύγασμαbeaming forth from τῆςof the δόξηςglory καὶand χαρακτὴρimpress τῆςof the ὑποστάσεωςsub-standing αὐτοῦ,of him, φέρωνbearing τεand τὰthe πάνταall (things) τῷto the ῥήματιsaying τῆςof the δυνάμεωςpower αὐτοῦ,of him, καθαρισμὸνcleansing τῶνof the ἁμαρτιῶνsins ποιησάμενοςhaving made ἐκάθισενhe sat down ἐνin δεξιᾷright [hand] τῆςof the μεγαλωσύνηςgreatness ἐνin ὑψηλοῖς,lofty [places], 4 τοσούτῳto so much κρείττωνbetter γενόμενοςhaving become τῶνof the ἀγγέλωνangels ὅσῳto how much διαφορώτερονmore differing παρ’beside αὐτοὺςthem κεκληρονόμηκενhe has inherited ὄνομα.name.

5 ΤίνιTo which one γὰρfor εἶπένhe said ποτεsometime τῶνof the ἀγγέλωνangels ΥἱόςSon μουof me εἶare σύ,you, ἐγὼI σήμερονtoday γεγέννηκάI have generated σε,you, καὶand πάλινagain ᾿ΕγὼI ἔσομαιshall be αὐτῷto him εἰςinto πατέρα,Father, καὶand αὐτὸςhe ἔσταιwill be μοιto me εἰςinto υἱόν;Son? 6 ὅτανWhenever δὲbut πάλινagain εἰσαγάγῃhe should lead in τὸνthe πρωτότοκονFirstborn (one) εἰςinto τὴνthe οἰκουμένην,being inhabited [earth], λέγειhe is saying ΚαὶAnd προσκυνησάτωσανlet to prostrate toward αὐτῷhim πάντεςall ἄγγελοιangels θεοῦ.of God.

7 καὶAnd πρὸςtoward μὲνindeed τοὺςthe ἀγγέλουςangels λέγειhe is saying Ὁthe (one) ποιῶνmaking τοὺςthe ἀγγέλουςangels αὐτοῦof him πνεύματα,spirits, καὶand τοὺςthe λειτουργοὺςpublic workers αὐτοῦof him πυρὸςof fire φλόγα·flame; 8 πρὸςtoward δὲbut τὸνthe υἱόνSon ὉThe θρόνοςthrone σουof you ὁthe θεὸςGod εἰςinto τὸνthe αἰῶναage τοῦof the αἰῶνος,age, καὶand ἡthe ῥάβδοςstaff τῆςof the εὐθύτητοςstraightness ῥάβδοςstaff τῆςof the βασιλείαςkingdom αὐτοῦ.of him. 9 ἠγάπησαςYou loved δικαιοσύνηνrighteousness καὶand ἐμίσησαςyou hated ἀνομίαν·lawlessness; διὰthrough τοῦτοthis ἔχρισένanointed σεyou ὁthe θεός,God, ὁthe θεόςGod σου,of you, ἔλαιονoil ἀγαλλιάσεωςof exultation παρὰbeside τοὺςthe μετόχουςpartners σου·of you; 10 καίand ΣὺYou κατ’according to ἀρχάς,beginnings, κύριε,Lord, τὴνthe γῆνearth ἐθεμελίωσας,you founded, καὶand ἔργαworks τῶνof the χειρῶνhands σούof you εἰσινare οἱthe οὐρανοί·heavens; 11 αὐτοὶthey ἀπολοῦνται,will destroy themselves, σὺyou δὲbut διαμένεις·you are remaining through; καὶand πάντεςall ὡςas ἱμάτιονouter garment παλαιωθήσονται,will be made old, 12 καὶand ὡσεὶas if περιβόλαιονthing thrown about ἑλίξειςyou will wrap up αὐτούς,them, ὡςas ἱμάτιονouter garment καὶand ἀλλαγήσονται·they will be altered; σὺyou δὲbut ὁthe αὐτὸςvery (one) εἶ,are, καὶand τὰthe ἔτηyears σουof you οὐκnot ἐκλείψουσιν.will leave out.

13 πρὸςToward τίναwhich one δὲbut τῶνof the ἀγγέλωνangels εἴρηκένhas he said ποτεsometime ΚάθουSit you ἐκout of δεξιῶνright [parts] μουof me ἕωςuntil ἂνlikely θῶI might put τοὺςthe ἐχθρούςenemies σουof you ὑποπόδιονfootstool τῶνof the ποδῶνfeet σου;of you? 14 οὐχὶNot πάντεςall εἰσὶνthey are λειτουργικὰpublicly working πνεύματαspirits εἰςinto διακονίανservice ἀποστελλόμεναbeing sent forth διὰthrough τοὺςthe (ones) μέλλονταςbeing about κληρονομεῖνto be inheriting σωτηρίαν;salvation
